The unconditional love for the territory and the deep respect for the environment convinced the owner family, the Fasola Bologna to make a radical choice: to leave over 700 hectares of land intact, with the desire to hand them uncontaminated to future generations.
“We have set the goal of eliminating all fossil fuel emissions,” says Lorenzo Fasola Bologna, CEO of the Umbrian company. “In 1998 we started the 360 Green Revolution project, which involves various aspects, from photovoltaic panels to biodiesel to arrive at reflective paint for roofs with an albedo effect. Our efforts were rewarded in 2009, when the Castello di Monte Vibiano became the first farm in the world to receive UNI ISO 14064 certification from the Norwegian institute DNV (Det Norske Veritas), which represents the highest standard and production with zero impact in terms of CO2 emissions ".
It is a reality in which the environment is always at the center: from the reuse of biomass, to the recharging system for scooters and electric vehicles used by employees and participants in eco-tours, the complete enhancement of olive products from an economic point of view. circular.
The company collects large quantities of olives from its olive groves and from selected local suppliers, who adhere to the guidelines for production established by Monte Vibiano; the farmers who supply olives to our company are monitored at every stage of the production cycle to ensure the same quality standards.
The “green gold” of Castello di Monte Vibiano is an olive oil that is sought after and awarded by chefs from all over the world.
From this gold comes the new M + Performance project, quality in life, quality in sport.
